Doctor Bridge – A Healthcare Professional Networking and Directory Platform

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your access to and use of the website, platform, and services provided by Doctor Bridge ("the Platform", "we", "our", or "us"), a digital platform facilitating interaction between verified medical professionals, patient referrals, and public access to verified medical information.

By accessing, browsing, registering with, or otherwise using this Platform, you ("User", "Doctor", "Medical Service Provider", or "Visitor") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

2. Scope and Purpose

Doctor Bridge operates with the following objectives:

  • Enabling professional interaction between registered and verified medical doctors.
  • Facilitating referral of patients between doctors through secure and authorized channels.
  • Allowing patients/public to access accurate information about medical practitioners, their clinic locations, schedules, and services.
  • Providing a digital directory for licensed medical service providers (e.g., diagnostic labs, pharmacies, ambulance operators) to showcase their services.

3. Eligibility

3.1. The Platform is strictly intended for use by:

  • Registered medical practitioners holding a valid degree recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council.
  • Licensed healthcare service providers (including pathology labs, ambulance services, and medical stores) with proper business registration and health licenses.
  • General users above 18 years of age seeking healthcare information.

3.2. The Platform reserves the right to verify the credentials of all users and to accept or reject any application for registration without assigning any reason.

4. Account Registration and Responsibilities

4.1. All Users shall provide accurate, truthful, and complete information during registration. Submission of fake or forged documents shall result in immediate account suspension and possible legal action.

4.2. Users shall be responsible for:

  • Maintaining confidentiality of their login credentials.
  • Ensuring their profile and content are current and accurate.
  • Ensuring compliance with Indian medical and IT laws.

5. Use of the Platform

Users are permitted to use the Platform solely for:

  • Professional communication among doctors.
  • Referring patients to specialists within the Platform.
  • Displaying their professional availability, credentials, and clinic information.
  • Accessing healthcare services listed by verified providers.
  • Sharing publicly viewable health-related content in accordance with medical ethics and data privacy laws.

6. Prohibited Conduct

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Sharing of personal health information (PHI), patient history, or diagnostic reports with any third party, including another doctor, without explicit written or digital consent from the patient.
  • Any activity that violates the provisions of the Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002, and the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020.
  • Impersonation of a medical professional or use of forged degrees or certifications.
  • Unauthorized marketing, patient solicitation, or spam communication.
  • Dissemination of false or misleading information.
  • Uploading or distributing content that is obscene, defamatory, offensive, or unlawful.

7. Data Privacy and Consent

7.1. All Users shall comply with the provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000, Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and applicable rules relating to sensitive personal data or information (SPDI).

7.2. Patient data may only be shared under the following conditions:

  • The patient has explicitly authorized such sharing in writing or digitally.
  • The purpose is clearly defined and limited to treatment, referral, or follow-up care.
  • The data is encrypted, secured, and stored in compliance with applicable data protection norms.

8. Verification and Display of Information

8.1. All professional profiles and listings shall be verified before being published.

8.2. Users are solely responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the data they publish. This includes qualifications, clinic address, consultation timing, and services.

8.3. Doctor Bridge does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of any User-provided content and shall not be liable for any claims arising therefrom.

9. Compliance with Laws and Guidelines

9.1. All Users must adhere to the regulations and guidelines laid down by:

  • National Medical Commission (NMC)
  • Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020
  • Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940
  • Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010 (as applicable)
  • Any other relevant central or state law.

9.2. Medical Service Providers must operate under the licenses and norms established by relevant authorities (e.g., CDSCO, NABL, municipal health departments).

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1. Doctor Bridge is a technology intermediary and does not engage in the direct practice of medicine or provision of any health service.

10.2. Doctor Bridge shall not be held liable for:

  • Any miscommunication or medical error arising from referrals or interactions on the platform.
  • Any injury, harm, or loss resulting from reliance on the services of listed doctors or healthcare providers.
  • Data breaches resulting from user negligence.

11. Suspension and Termination

11.1. Doctor Bridge reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate access to the Platform for any User who breaches these Terms or applicable laws.
  • Take appropriate legal action, including reporting to medical councils, regulatory authorities, and law enforcement in case of severe violations.

11.2. Upon termination, all licenses granted by the Platform shall immediately cease and the User's data may be archived or deleted per legal requirements.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, software, branding, and technology used in the Platform are the exclusive property of Doctor Bridge. Unauthorized use, duplication, or distribution is prohibited and subject to legal action.

13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [RATLAM, Madhya Pradesh].

14. Modification of Terms

Doctor Bridge reserves the right to amend, update, or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
